STAR RATINGS GUIDE

A classic. The audiobook that started it all.

THE BIRDICT

šŸ’š When I first listened to this, I had a truly awful boss (comparable to Miranda). This was like my comic sanctuary, allowing me to see the funny side.

šŸ–¤ Andy's head is a fun, funny place to spend your time. Her observations, experiences and journey are all entertaining. The fashion, the city, the glamour, it's intoxicating.

šŸ’™ As for the relationships, Andy and Emily's interactions still make me laugh. Alex meanwhile... I have complex feelings. His gripes with Andy made no sense. But I loved this so much I didn't care.

šŸ¤Ž This has Candace Bushnell's stylish spark with Sarah Lyons Fleming's unforgettable characters.

The movie was brilliant and very true to the book.

SQUAWKING THE TALK

šŸ§” I listened to Laurel Lefkow's performance on this audiobook long before the movie came out, but instantly pictured Anne Hathaway as Andy. She really is versatile, performing female and male roles authentically. There's a lot of energy to this audiobook and I think Lefkow is a big part of that. I've seen complaints about her accents, but I thought they were good.

The Devil Wears Prada

THE BLURB

Andrea Sachs, a small-town girl fresh out of college, is hired as the assistant to Miranda Priestly, the successful editor of Runway magazine. Andrea finds herself in an office that shouts Prada! Armani! Versace! at every turn. As things escalate from the merely unacceptable to the downright outrageous, Andrea begins to realize that the job a million girls would die for may just kill her. And even if she survives, she has to decide whether the job is worth the price of her soul.
