THE BIRDICT

šŸ§” If youā€™re a socially awkward, bookish millennial looking for a heartwarming, happy, carefree listen, this is it. It has the nods to nostalgia with references to 90s TV shows and films, lightweight content and dry humour. It was exactly what I needed to get me out of a listening rut. This will not blow your mind, but it should make it hum contentedly.

SQUAWKING THE TALK

šŸŽ§ No bells or whistles here, just an easy to pick up and put down listen. Narrator Jessica Preddy gives an energetic, bright performance, her voice not dissimilar to that of Kristin Chenoweth, who always makes me smile.

The Bookish Life of Nina Hill

THE BLURB

Nina has her life just as she wants it: a job in a bookstore, a kick-butt trivia team, a world-class planner and a cat named Phil. When the father Nina never knew existed suddenly dies, leaving behind innumerable sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews, Nina is horrified.

They all live close by! They're excited to meet her! She'll have to Speak. To. Strangers. And as if that wasn't enough, Tom, her trivia nemesis, has turned out to be cute, funny, and deeply interested in getting to know her. It's time for Nina to come out of her comfortable shell. It's going to take a brand-new family, a persistent suitor, and the combined effects of ice cream and trivia to make her turn her own fresh page.
