STAR RATINGS GUIDE

Quirky and Endearing. Plot takes Second Place.

THE BIRDICT

💗 Telling the story from 10-year-old Grace's perspective completely transforms what might otherwise be a true crime story into something far more playful and innocent. The depiction of a small town in the seventies is well observed and evocative.

💛 There are definite parallels between this and the excellent Elizabeth Is Missing.

SQUAWKING THE TALK

🎧 Paula Wilcox is an absolute star as the narrator. Quirky and charming as Grace, she is also incredibly versatile, doing a great job of differentiating characters.
