💙 This is Gattaca meets Psycho meets The Wife Between Us.
💜 The concept of DNA matching couples is sci-fi catnip and a seriously good idea. And one Marrs runs with to all sorts of delectably dark places.
💚 Switching between story lines, each with their own surprises, kept me on my toes. Marrs revels in the possible repercussions of a technology that promises to match people with their genetic soulmate. Divorce, love triangles, deception and disappointment are just the tip of the consequential iceberg.
SQUAWKING THE TALK
🎧 The cast of narrators is a real vocal a-list and honestly this production is flawless. Clare Corbett, Vicky Hall, Simon Bubb, Jot Davies and Sophie Aldred each take on separate strands of the plot. Not only does this provide a range of voices, styles and accents to keep things interesting, but there's no mistaking which plot you're following at any given time.
🎧 The standout for me was Corbett as Ellie. There's one particularly chilling bit (view spoiler) which she delivers to spine-tingling perfection.
