STAR RATINGS GUIDE

A Brilliant Follow Up to The One

THE BIRDICT

šŸ§” This isnā€™t a sequel to The One, but it is based in the same world and shares its themes and tone. In short, if you enjoyed that, you will love this too. This has all the despicable characters, the moral minefields and clever twists.

SQUAWKING THE TALK

šŸŽ§ An absolutely stunning audiobook that not only did the story justice, but enhanced the dystopian feel. The use of jingles was effective at communicating the sort of macabre jollity Iā€™d associate with Brave New World and Ubik.

The Marriage Act

THE BLURB

What if marriage was the law? Dare you disobey?

Britain. The near-future. A right-wing government believes it has the answer to societyā€™s illsā€”the Sanctity of Marriage Act, which actively encourages marriage as the norm, punishing those who choose to remain single.

But four couples are about to discover just how impossible relationships can be when the government is monitoring every aspect of our personal lives, monitoring every word, every minor disagreement...and will use every tool in its arsenal to ensure everyone will love, honour and obey.
