STAR RATINGS GUIDE

Haunting story, beautifully read.

THE BIRDICT

🧡 Between the twin girls connection, the fantasy world and the missing sister storyline, this was creepy, creepy, creepy. Then terrifying. Job done.
I loved the premise, but in execution this is almost two books in one and the fantasy elements weren’t quite as much of a thread running through as I would have liked.

SQUAWKING THE TALK

🎧 Katie Leung dreamy tone is ideal in this context, sounding both ominous and wistful. Together with the soft edges of her Scottish accent, she’s basically hypnotic. Fab.
